Larson is clear by 5 car lengths into turn one.Lap 5, Ty Gibbs has climbed back to the bumper of Larson in the battle for the lead. Cole Custer is right there with them as the top 3 run bumper to bumper. Gibbs looks to the outside of Larson into turn 5. He wheel hops, misses the corner and Cole Custer slips inside of him to take 2nd away.Lap 8, several cars hit the pit lane. Meanwhile, Brett Moffitt is off track and stuck in the sand. Ty Gibbs stays out as well as others who pitted at the end of stage two. Larson restarts 14th.Green flag on stage two, Ty Gibbs leads Allmendinger into turn one.Allmendinger works to the outside of Gibbs into turn five. He drives it deep into the corner, makes it stick and clears him via the outside lane! AJ Allmendinger to the lead.Lap 14, Allmendinger misses turn five under braking back into turn five. Gibbs returns to the lead.Sam Mayer locks up into turn five. The car gets sideways and he tags the wall to pick up moderate damage, no caution.Lap 17, Larson has sliced through the field and he has a run on Ty Gibbs off turn fourteen. They run side by side for the lead into turn one, Larson returns to the lead.Lap 18, Ty Gibbs and others hit the pit lane.Kyle Larson stays on track to win stage two at Road America!Road America Results (Stage 2) : 1. Gibbs restarts 11th with fresher tires.Green flag on stage three, Larson leads Cole Custer out off turn one.Lap 25, Sage Karam and Noah Gragson make contact. Gragson turns into the left rear in retaliation. Karam is sent off the track and into the grass. More cars enter the scene at speed but dust is blocking their view. Cars block the track and multiple heavy impacts follow! 10+ cars are involved.Brandon Brown climbs from his car in pain. He lays on the ground against the wall.Kyle Larson pits from the lead and most of the field follows him. Allgaier takes over the lead as Larson restarts in 5th.Green, Clements leans on the bumper of Allgaier for the lead off turn one. Clements to the lead. Behind them, Larson forces them three wide under braking for 3rd.As they head into turn five, Larson out brakes Clements, Larson returns to the lead with ease. Cole Custer follows him through and returns to 2nd.17 to go, Cole Custer looks inside of Larson. They run side by side through the back half of the course, Custer finally clears him.10 to go10 to go, Chris Dyson is off track and stuck in the sand after a brake failure, caution.Custer, Larson and most of the field return to the pit lane. Larson wins the race to the pit exit after a slow stop for Custer. Larson restarts in 4th.Green, Ryan Sieg takes the green but Larson runs them three wide for 2nd. Under braking, Larson drives right by Ryan Sieg, Larson returns to the lead.8 to go, Larson leads Gibbs by 2.2 seconds.3 to go, Larson leads Gibbs by 3 seconds.2 to go, Cole Custer has lost his brakes into turn five while running 3rd! He slams the wall and the caution is out.We’re going into NASCAR overtime. A two laps shootout to the finish.Green, Ty Gibbs gets the jump and they run side by side for the lead. Larson drives it deep under braking into turn one, Larson clears him and holds the lead.1 to go, Larson leads Gibbs by just a car length. Larson throws a block into turn one. Gibbs has a run out of the corner, Larson blocks and they make contact.Larson misses turn two! Gibbs drives by on the inside to take the lead away.Larson has a look under braking into turn ten.
